Entry Requirements
For entry onto Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety Management, learners must possess:
- Level 5 qualification or:
- appropriate work experience in the business sector and demonstrate ambition with clear career goals.
Module Structure
Learners must complete 6 units to achieve a minimum of 120 credits total.

After completing the Level 6 Diploma, learners may progress to one of the following options:

University Master’s Degree (MSc/MA)
Many universities in the UK and abroad accept Level 6 diploma holders for:
- MSc in Occupational Health and Safety
- MSc in Risk Management
- MSc in Environmental Health (Admission depends on the university’s entry requirements, such as work experience and English proficiency.)
Top-Up Bachelor’s Degree
- Some learners may also choose to complete a top-up bachelor’s degree if they have not yet earned a full undergraduate degree.
Professional Progression
IOSH Membership (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health)
- The Qualifi Level 6 Diploma meets the academic requirements for Graduate Membership (GradIOSH).
- With sufficient experience and through the IPD (Initial Professional Development) process, learners can progress to Chartered Membership (CMIOSH).
IIRSM Membership
- Eligibility for full membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (MIIRSM)
Other Professional Bodies
May support applications to organisations such as:
- British Safety Council (BSC)
- Chartered Management Institute (CMI)
- NEBOSH (for further specialist certifications)
